What is the Wholeness Project?

Our Mission: Partnering in the Restoration of People & Communities to Wholeness

In Cleveland, there has been a long history of legacy and strength. But, there is also a history of brokenness that plagues our communities. The city is wrought with injustice, division, and a lack of the kind of collaboration that brings lasting change. The Wholeness Project exists to be a people, a place, and a work of restoration. It’s not that people don’t want to be free from the challenges in life, but rather that there is a need for more than just quick fixes and handouts. There is a need for wholeness.

As we listened to our neighbors, walked alongside those facing adversity, and engaged with city leaders, educators, and faith communities, we recognized something bigger: Cleveland needed more than a helping hand. It needed a bridge. That bridge became The Wholeness Project: an ever-growing endeavor committed to empowering individuals and communities through resilience, reconciliation, and renewal. Today, we serve our city by creating trauma-informed support systems, facilitating cross-cultural healing conversations, and forming partnerships that spark sustainable change.

Our story is shaped by the people we walk with: the single mom navigating reentry after incarceration and recovery. The college student from an overlooked neighborhood finding their voice through community leadership. The neighbor-turned-volunteer offering peer support because someone once did the same for them.

No longer just an initiative, it’s a movement to connect people to the relationships, resources, and restorative work that bring about wholeness—for every person and every neighborhood.

We’re not here just to do good. We’re here to see lives transformed and communities made whole.
